Three-year collaboration will explore new models of employability, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and real-world innovation through realXeducation and realXhub.
Digit Labs is pleased to announce the signing of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of East London (UEL), establishing a strategic collaboration focused on education innovation, employability, entrepreneurship, and sustainable infrastructure development.
The agreement represents an important milestone in the continued growth of the Digit Labs ecosystem and supports our mission to create pathways that help people learn, earn, and thrive through the combination of AI, education, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.
The partnership will focus on three core initiatives:
Student-Led Learning
Through realXeducation, university students will have opportunities to design, develop, and deliver educational content to schools, colleges, and community groups. Learning activities will be supported by digital verification, structured learning pathways, and outcome-based assessment models designed to strengthen employability and practical skills development.
Business Consultancy and Innovation Projects
Students will also gain access to real-world consultancy and feasibility projects, working directly with businesses and organisations to analyse opportunities, evaluate ideas, and contribute to innovation initiatives. The objective is to bridge the gap between academic learning and commercial application while providing valuable industry experience before graduation.
Sustainable Infrastructure and Workforce Development
The collaboration will also support proof-of-concept activities for realXhub, Digit Labs’ renewable-powered cold-chain infrastructure platform.
realXhub combines workforce development, AI-powered forecasting, renewable energy systems, digital marketplaces, and entrepreneurship pathways to address challenges including food waste, supply-chain resilience, economic inclusion, and sustainable community development.
The University of East London will provide an important environment for exploring how workforce training, operational processes, and applied learning can support the deployment of scalable renewable infrastructure solutions in emerging markets.
Building the Future of Work
Beyond individual projects, the partnership creates opportunities for:
- Industry mentoring and professional development
- Innovation and entrepreneurship events
- Internship and work-based learning pathways
- Joint funding and research initiatives
- Applied AI, blockchain, and emerging technology projects
- Workforce development and skills acceleration programmes
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating practical, career-focused opportunities that prepare learners for the future economy while supporting innovation across education, business, and society.

“This collaboration aligns with our commitment to career-focused and inclusive education. It provides students with opportunities to teach, consult, innovate, and develop the practical skills increasingly demanded by employers and entrepreneurs alike.”
A Foundation for Long-Term Impact
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding follows a period of significant momentum for Digit Labs, including international recognition for innovation in education and financial inclusion.
Together, Digit Labs and the University of East London will explore how emerging technologies, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable infrastructure can be combined to create scalable models of opportunity, economic participation, and community resilience.
This partnership is more than an agreement between two organisations. It is a shared commitment to building practical pathways that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create lasting social, economic, and environmental impact.
